The senior section at Altona North SC. Three squads, one badge. From the State League 2 firsts through to Reserves and Metro, this is the heart of the club at Duane Reserve.
Senior football at Altona North runs across three squads competing under the Football Victoria umbrella. The Senior Men's side leads the way in State League 2 North/West following the 2025 State League 3 title win, with the Reserves backing them up week to week and the Metro side providing a competitive senior pathway right through to amateur level.
Whatever your level, training nights at D.N. Duane Reserve are open and welcoming. Tuesdays and Thursdays the lights go on, the boys get to work, and Saturdays the navy and red travels across Melbourne's west chasing points.
The 2026 first team. Promoted from State League 3 as champions in 2025, the senior men's side now competes in State League 2 North/West, the highest level the club has reached in decades. A squad built on ANSC juniors, returning club legends and new signings ready to keep the promotion run going.
The Reserves are the engine room of senior football at ANSC. Playing in the same Football Victoria competition as the Senior Men's side and kicking off ahead of them every Saturday at Duane Reserve, the Reserves are the bridge between juniors stepping up and senior football proper.
It is the squad that hardens up new signings, brings young ANSC juniors into the senior environment, and gives experienced players a competitive home. Every player in the senior dressing room has worn the Reserves shirt at some stage, and the team takes pride in pushing the firsts every week in training.
The Metro side is ANSC's third senior squad, competing in the FV Metropolitan league. It is competitive senior football with a slightly different rhythm, the home of returning club legends, players coming back from longer breaks, and senior men who want to keep playing the game they love at a level that fits real life.
Metro trains alongside the firsts and reserves at AB Shaw Reserve. The squad has its own identity, its own results to chase, and the same shared culture of mateship and hard graft that runs through the whole senior section.
