Altona North runs Miniroos through to senior men's football. The junior pathway covers U7 to U14 elite teams, while the senior squad competes in FV State League 2 North/West. Whether your child is taking their first kicks or you're looking for a competitive senior side, there is a place for you at ANSC.
Our main home ground is D.N. Duane Reserve on Primula Avenue, Brooklyn. The club has been based there since 1975 and the ground sits in the City of Hobsons Bay, easily accessible from Altona North, Brooklyn, Newport, Yarraville and Footscray. Senior men's and reserves train and play home matches at Duane.
Junior teams and the Metro side are based at AB Shaw Reserve in Laverton. Sunday morning junior fixtures and Metro home matches all run out of AB Shaw, with full pitches for the older age groups and small-sided setups for the MiniRoos.
Senior training generally runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Duane Reserve, with senior matches on Saturdays during the FV season. Junior training nights and Metro sessions are held at AB Shaw Reserve in Laverton. Specific times vary by squad and age group, so confirm with your team coach or the committee once you are registered.
It depends on the squad. Senior men's, reserves and metro all welcome new players, but trial requirements vary year to year as the coaching staff finalise their squads. Reach out via the contact form below and we will point you to the right squad coach.
A community club runs on volunteers and sponsors. Whether you want to back the club commercially, help on match days, run the canteen, or pitch in with grounds work, the committee would love to hear from you. Use the contact form below and select Sponsorship or Volunteering as your enquiry type.
